Thesis Technology 25th Anniversary Party

Updated: Nov 26, 2020

As noted in a blog earlier this year, 2019 marks the 25th anniversary for Thesis Technology Products – a significant milestone for any company and one we could not let pass without appropriate celebration. And so it was, Friday 21st June was party day and having presented each staff member with a name engraved reusable Chilly’s water bottle, we closed the offices and factory so that every member of the team could join us to celebrate this special event.

As well as an open invitation to all our UK staff, we were delighted to be joined for the event, and some time either side, by Cheryl Koscak, who looks after LimbO sales and operations in the United States. The party was just one part of a longer trip, her first ever to the UK, and along with her sister (her invited plus one) we took in the sights of London and were also able to show Cheryl and Cindy the UK operation, including the LimbO manufacturing facility. Cheryl even managed to squeeze in attendance at a JCN exhibition in Bournemouth with one of the sales team.

For those that don’t know, we are nestled between the South Coast and the South Downs on the Sussex/Hampshire border, so when it comes to venues, we are blessed with many fabulous locations to stage a company anniversary party. After much deliberation we chose the Goodwood Estate to play host to over 30 members of the Thesis team and their guests.

Having been collected by private coach in Chichester, we were taken to the Goodwood Hotel for the first part of the day’s celebrations: a drinks reception, followed by a gourmet BBQ and celebration cake. We were especially pleased to be joined by the two original founders of the business, Ted Palmer and Trevor Nightingale, who ceremoniously cut the cake amid three cheers from the team and their guests.

After a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon in the hotel grounds, the celebrations continued with an evening race meeting at the world-famous Goodwood Racecourse. From the Sussex Roof Garden, we were treated to a beautiful view over the South Downs at sunset and also had a prime spot to see the winners (and losers, of which there were some unfortunately!) crossing the finish line.

For those still standing after an afternoon of eating, drinking and free cocktails, there was the opportunity to show the youngsters how to cut some shapes to the music provided by the live DJ set, which forms part of the early summer race meetings at Goodwood.

The 21st June will live long in the memory for all our staff and guests, as Goodwood provided a beautiful setting in which to celebrate this important milestone in our history. Everyone enjoyed the day, even those that may have overindulged or not recouped their investment on the G-Gs, and we are already looking forward to the next celebration in 2024!
